Deputy Program Manager, San Juan Unified School District (SJUSD),
Sacramento, CA (2015). Provided a leadership role to assist in the overall
management and oversight of specific projects within the Program while
reporting to the Project Director and representing the PD at SJUSD
construction management meetings and program reviews for LeaseLeaseback
(LLB) project(s) delivery.
Program Controls Manager, LACCD Los Angeles Harbor College, $449M,
Wilmington, CA (2007–2014), $499M: Provided a leadership role to the
project team for planning, scheduling, budget cost control, forecasting,
dashboard report production and change management in accordance with all
applicable standards and contractual requirements. These responsibilities
included; preparing and verifying metric reports that outlined the financial
position of the 50+ projects, facilitated in reconciling and reviewing the financial
position to ensure compliance with District and Program policies and
procedures. Maintained cooperative relationships with the College Project

• A cashflow projection system originally create in Primavera P6
scheduling software, has been adopted for use by the PMO and the
other nine LACCD Campuses.
Project Construction Manager, LACCD Los Angeles Harbor College,
Wilmington, CA (2009–2014), $5+M: Managed, oversaw and coordinated all
facets of the construction phase of a specific school facility projects including
mobilization, construction and closeout. Planned, organized, directed and
reported project mangement activities and progress to upper management.
Responsibilities included; managing project development, review of project
designs for compliance with engineering principles, customer specifications
and expectations and customer contract requirements. Established and
managed cost estimations and cost control. Conducted value analysis and
related life-cycle cost analysis. Construction phase charges included planning
and chairing construction, installation, and weekly project meetings and
maintain as a prime point of contact between the Contractor, Owner and
Architect. Implemented quality plans to assure all construction work was
completed in conformance to the contact documents and maintained all

Correctional Justice
Deputy Program Manager – Controls, California Department of
Corrections (CDCR), Sacramento, CA (2014 – 2015), $2B. Provided a
leadership role in overall executive management and oversight of the Program.
Reported to the Program Manager (PM) and represented the PM at the CDCR
program management meetings, committee meetings, program reviews, and
would interface with government agencies and industrial organizations.
Worked collaboratively with the Project Management Branch (PMB) to deliver
intelligent solutions to ensure quality project delivery. Maintained focus on
close CDCR interaction which was necessary and instrumental at identifying,
developing, and implementing solid project solutions to meet the changing

concrete cell buildings to house 4,000 inmates. Created and maintained

Healthcare
Construction Manager, UCLA, Santa Monica Orthopedic Replacement
Hospital, Santa Monica, CA (2002–2003), $337M: Provided general
contracting support including planning the construction and scheduling
services for a $377-million, 420,000-square-foot medical complex. The
medical complex includes a 7-story patient tower, orthopaedic facility, and an
emergency unit. Created and maintained the critical path scheduling of
construction which required frequent updates to the project's master schedule
of more than 11,000 resource- and cost-loaded activities.
Senior Project Engineer / Scheduler, Children’s Hospital Central
California, Fresno, CA (1996-1998), $120M: Provided construction
management support to include submittal review, subcontract administration,
change order control, etc. for a $120-million, 613,000-square-foot medical
complex with a 214-bed patient tower, ancillary facility, central plant, a medical
office building, and complete infrastructure on a 50-acre site. Created and
maintained the critical path scheduling of construction requiring weekly update
of project master schedules involving nearly 10,000 activities.
Power Plant
Project Controls Engineer, Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power Sylmar
Converter Station Replacement, Sylmar, CA (2003-2004), $1.7B: Oversaw
the project controls system to monitor the budgets and schedules for the
individual projects, while maintaining accurate, up-to-date information for
management's use in important decision-making strategies. The project
controls database interfaced with an existing mainframe payroll and cost
accounting systems to monitor actual vs. budgeted costs for the projects.
Resource-loaded CPM schedules were linked with an existing timekeeping
system to measure labor performance as a function of budgeted, earned and
actual labor hours. Reviewed and approved contractor construction schedules
and progress payment applications, and processed change orders.

Substation Upgrade Project, Anaheim, CA (2006), $65M: Provided critical

Entertainment Complex, Hollywood, CA (1999-2000), $430M: General
contracting support included; generating construction plans and providing
scheduling services for a $615 million, 1.6-million-square-foot urban
entertainment center and live broadcast theatre for the home of the Academy
Awards® ceremonies. Created and maintained the critical path scheduling of
construction requiring weekly update of project master schedules involving
nearly 10,000 activities.
Ride/Show Control Systems Planner, Walt Disney Imagineering,
Glendale, CA (1991-1992): Provided direct support to seven Project/Divisional
Supervisors with a combined total of 200 engineering, planning, and
production personnel. Created and maintained a comprehensive network of
information including bar charts, logic diagrams, and resource load reports,
which allowed management to survey the scope of work and the resources
and strategy required to achieve it.
Interfaced with other disciplines to ensure
target schedule requirements were consistent with the overall goal of each
project, including checking progress/slippage and impacts to existing
plans/schedules through variance reports. Was instrumental in planning the
accelerated engineering and production of Splash Mountain by six months.
Established target plans for engineering and production of EuroDisneyland's
ride control consoles, Star Tours post show control systems and ride control
systems for Disneyland's Toontown to balance time, budget, and resource
constraints.

Project Controls Engineer, The Metropolitan Water District’s (MWD)
Capital Investment Plan (CIP), Los Angeles, CA, (2007), $469M: Provided
monthly status reports to monitor the budgets and schedules for the individual
projects, while maintaining accurate, up-to-date information for management's
use in important decision-making strategies. Maintained the CIP projections on
a quarterly basis.
Pipeline / Seaport
Project Controls Engineer, Pacific L.A. Marine Terminal LLC Pier 400,
Berth 408 Project, Port of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, (2006), $300M:
Provided client oversight of the overall EPC schedule and project controls for
SPEC Services. The $300-million project is to provide a new "state-of-the-art"
Marine Crude Oil Unloading and Distribution System to expand Port of Los
Angeles' ability to accept and distribute increased amounts of crude oil to the
Southern California region, as well as provide a marine berth designed to

alerted the team to potential problem areas. Responsibilities also included

services for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) included: contract
management, field supervision, project controls, and governmental reporting
functions. Was named and instrumental in the initial formal proposal for this
contract.
Information Systems
Project Management Professional, Boeing Satellite Systems, Wallender &
Associates, El Segundo, CA (2000-2001): Provided project management
planning and support for a number of information systems development and
implementation projects. Also provided planning and subcontractor
management support to a number of senior project managers while assisting in
the yearly capital plan budgeting process along with 5 and 10 year business
forecasting and served as liaison with business unit functional management to

Project Controls Engineer, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
Work Coordination Center, Los Angeles, CA (2003-2005): Helped to
develop and maintain a master program controls system for all LADWP
construction planned for the next 10 years. This system was used to determine
in house staffing requirements as well as analyze and identify potential work to
be outsourced. Specifically, the system compared approved budgets to actual
expenditures, and provided business unit managers with timely data needed to
make resource planning decisions across complex programs.

Provided engineering and production of industrial marking equipment
and conveyor accessories for the packaging industry. Reported to the
